  • The Fox Theatre

    The Fox Theatre in Toronto's east end opened in 1914, and is one of the city's oldest cinemas, second only to The Revue which opened two years prior. The current operators, Andy Willick and Daniel Demois, have been managing The Fox since 2007 and have revitalized the cinema with a host of improvements while managing to retain the nostalgic charm that has made the theatre a mainstay.

  • Lowel light in a silver umbrella on the far left as my key, FS100 with 50mm 1.8 on the left, Nikon D600 with a 20-35mm 2.8 on the right. I have the shotgun mic mounted on the D600, though the mic itself was actually plugged directly into the FS100. Reason for that was that the D600 would remain static and provide consistent audio levels while I was moving and adjusting the FS100 frame on the fly. The FS100 will record audio much better than the DSLR. Shots were synced in post with the D600's internal mic as a reference.
  • Alternate angle. I was crouched to the right of the FS100 while speaking with Andy, Daniel and Jerry, adjusting the FS100 on a manfrotto 501HDV head.
